Dr Deborah Sykes is a specialist orthodontist and children’s dentist. With both qualifications, you can rely on her to provide you with a very professional and qualified opinion about orthodontics and your smile.
Dr Deborah Sykes operates Quality Sleep Clinic from 1424 Sturt Street, Ballarat, opposite St Patrick’s College. The Quality Sleep Clinic is also supported by well-trained and qualified staff who will look after you and your sleep disorder treatment.
Dr Deborah Sykes is registered with the Australian Sleep Association (ASA), Australian Health Practitioners Registration Association (AHPRA), Australian Dental Association (ADA), and the Australian Orthodontic Society (ASO). She has also been a member of the World Federation of Orthodontists and a ‘Give a Smile’ Orthodontist treating underprivileged patients for free.
Dr Deborah Sykes was previously a member of The Rotary Club of Ballarat. She served on the board for Rotary and Ballarat Regional Industries, helping handicapped people to be engaged in the community. She also supports the Basketball and Netball Associations in Ballarat.
Dr Deborah Sykes has achieved postgraduate qualifications in both Children’s Dentistry and Orthodontics. She graduated from Kings College (Guys and St Thomas Hospital) London, with a Master of Science in Orthodontics and gained membership in The Royal College of Dental Surgeons, Edinburgh in 1998. She also graduated with a Masters in Paediatric Dentistry from the University of Adelaide in 1995.
Dr Deborah Sykes has lectured extensively at the University of Melbourne, University of Adelaide, La Trobe University and various dental and orthodontic programmes. She has also presented lectures and research internationally. Dr Sykes is committed to continuing education and regularly attends postgraduate training courses, both locally and overseas.
